Keeping Hertfordshire’s communities safe.
The Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner is working to enhance community safety, with action on anti-social behaviour, burglaries, theft and domestic abuse and exploitation.
With record numbers of officers now patrolling our streets, we’re intensifying efforts to tackle crime. Initiatives like Operation Hotspot are focusing on areas with known criminal activity across Hertfordshire.
Conservatives Deliver for Hertfordshire
- New Fly-Tipping Strategy: With support to cover the cost of clearing fly-tipping and match funding for prevention measures.
- Tackling Crime Hotspots: Operation Hotspot is targeting crime hotspots in 12 towns across Hertfordshire with thousands of hours of extra policing and has seen some place have crime cut in half.
- More Police Officers Than Ever Before: the Conservative PCC’s budget for 2025/26 will increase police officer numbers to a record high, with more officers in neighbourhood roles, keeping our streets safe.
- Combating Rural Crime: supporting farmers with forensic marking of farm equipment, and helping clear industrial fly-tipping with funding for prevention measures.
- Putting Common Sense Back into Policing: Removed unnecessary woke language document and returned "common sense when it comes to language."
Our Plan for the Next Four Years
- Preventing crime and anti-social behaviour: By renewing a focus on local policing, with more officers in neighbourhoods and a clear point of contact in the police so you can report problems in your community.
- Tackling violence against women and girls: Through acting against perpetrators to change behaviour and encouraging the police to increase the number of protective orders being used to keep women safe.
- Safer town centres: By working to tackle anti-social behaviour and shoplifting to ensure Hertfordshire’s town centres are safe and vibrant places.
