As a local resident for over 35 years I know what a great place this area and our community is .
Like you I am affected by local issues and I want to remain your voice for this area on the county council I have taken an active part in our community. Having previously been a school governor for 13 years and also the Borough’s Mayoress .These experiences have given me a great insight into the fantastic work that goes on in our community and the many people involved.
During my time as a county councillor I have been able to help many residents with various issues .I serve on both Children ,Young people & Families cabinet panel also the Health Scrutiny Comittee. All of these I have a great interest in. As a local swimming teacher at the Laura Trott leisure centre I have taught many children over the years it is important that our children had the best start and as a community grows we must insure that we have enough places at good quality schools.
A strong local economy is built on skills ,an issue I am passionate about as a former laboratory scientist .So as well as schools I will promote our local libraries and family support services. Our elderly residents are a vital part of our community and it is important that we look after those most in need. I will work to increase their confidence and improve the services they rely on . I would like to be returned to be your voice at county hall and champion the area we all live in so please do vote for me .
