Old Stevenage
Born in North London I have lived in Hertfordshire for 42 years, firstly in Hertford, then Ware and for the last 8 years in Stevenage.
Married to Celia with two adult children, all three of which do, or have, worked in Education in Hertfordshire. We now have two delightful grandchildren.
Originally from a commercial background, SME general management and sales management for divisions of much larger organisations, I am now involved with a Hertfordshire based charity. Therefore providing good all-round background experience.
Having spent eight years as an East Herts District Councillor and six years as Stevenage Borough Councillor I am well versed in the workings of councils and look forward to stepping up to the bigger challenge at County if elected.
My main areas of interest are
• Planning and control
• Preservation of our heritage
• Young people and in particular their involvement in sport & the arts.
I really enjoy Stevenage old town which still has a great community feel to it, wonderful old buildings and great individual businesses.
If elected I look forward to working with local businesses and the community to help regenerate the High Street following the pandemic.
