Our Ware recycling centre has now reopened. The centre is open 10am to 6pm every day (closed Thursday and Friday) except Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
All household waste from your own home can be taken to our centres, except asbestos.
There is a limit on construction, demolition and excavation waste (DIY waste).
If you are taking your waste in a van or a car with a trailer you will need a van permit which you can apply for online.

New facilities
The new site is larger, easier to use and includes a new reuse centre (where you can pick up a new pre-loved bargain).
It is 4 times larger than the existing site and includes:
- a split level design allowing the majority of waste to be deposited without the need for lifting or carrying up steps
- an internal access road to keep site users off the main road
- 38 reverse car parking / unloading spaces
- fenced off areas so that full containers can be swapped without closing the centre
- a large reuse centre with dedicated parking, where residents can deposit, browse and purchase reusable items that would have previously been thrown away.
